My work is close-range and hands-on. I've led at national scale and inside small, stretched teams, and it's the latter I keep returning to, the kind of work where you can see the difference by the end of the day, not just on a dashboard.

Built a centralized digital onboarding system for medical assistants and providers, adopted voluntarily across 56 affiliates that had no obligation to use it. Built through listening, not mandate, since the national office has no authority over any independently governed affiliate. Still running today.
Designed and deployed a proctoring infrastructure spanning all 50 states, each with its own legal requirements. Affiliates adopted it because it was built with them, not handed down to them, the only kind of national program that actually survives fifty different local realities.

Leading through political intensity has never been occasional for me. It has been the job, at every level.
As a health center manager in Florida, I got a call one afternoon: a court ruling meant we had to stop providing abortion care immediately. Minutes later, another call: we could continue. I had a team and a waiting room full of patients, and the ground moved twice in the time it took to hang up the phone.
Years later, at the national office, Roe fell. Overnight, patient volume shifted dramatically across state lines, states that could still provide care absorbed it, states that couldn't lost it entirely. Affiliates needed a way to bring new staff up to speed fast enough to meet a surge nobody had planned for. I built the national training infrastructure that let them do it.
More recently, a federal ruling changed medication access overnight, hours before a scheduled clinic, with a team that needed clear direction before the doors opened.
Different states, different rulings, different titles on my badge. The same job every time: give my team enough clarity to keep doing the work while the ground was still moving underneath it.
